बँक ऑफ बडोदा (BOB) ही भारतीय राष्ट्रीयीकृत बँक आहे. या बँकेची स्थापना तिसरे सयाजीराव गायकवाड यांनी इ.स. १९०८ मध्ये केली. इ.स. १९६९ साली हिचे राष्ट्रीयीकरण झाले.

इतिहास

सयाजीराव गायकवाड तिसरे, बँक ऑफ बडोदा (BOB) चे संस्थापक

बँक ऑफ बडोदा इंटरनॅशनल बँकिंग शाखा एमजी रोड, बेंगळुरू येथे पूर्वी विजया बँकेचे मुख्य कार्यालय
1908 मध्ये, सयाजीराव गायकवाड तिसरे यांनी, संपतराव गायकवाड, राल्फ व्हाइटनॅक, विठ्ठलदास ठाकरे, लल्लूभाई सामलदास, तुळशीदास किलाचंद आणि एनएम चोक्षी यांसारख्या उद्योगातील इतर दिग्गजांसह बँक ऑफ बडोदा (BoB) [१०] ची स्थापना केली.[11] दोन वर्षांनंतर BoB ने अहमदाबादमध्ये आपली पहिली शाखा स्थापन केली. दुसऱ्या महायुद्धानंतर बँक देशांतर्गत वाढली. त्यानंतर 1953 मध्ये मोंबासा आणि कंपालामध्ये प्रत्येकी एक शाखा स्थापन करून केनियामधील भारतीय आणि युगांडामधील भारतीयांच्या समुदायांची सेवा करण्यासाठी हिंद महासागर पार केला. पुढच्या वर्षी त्याने केनियामध्ये, नैरोबीमध्ये दुसरी शाखा उघडली आणि 1956 मध्ये टांझानियामध्ये दार-एस-सलाम येथे शाखा उघडली. त्यानंतर 1957 मध्ये बीओबीने लंडनमध्ये शाखा स्थापन करून परदेशात मोठे पाऊल उचलले. लंडन हे ब्रिटिश कॉमनवेल्थचे केंद्र आणि सर्वात महत्त्वाचे आंतरराष्ट्रीय बँकिंग केंद्र होते. 1958 मध्ये BoB ने हिंद बँक (कलकत्ता; अंदाजे 1943) विकत घेतली, जे BoB चे पहिले देशांतर्गत अधिग्रहण बनले.[उद्धरण आवश्यक]
